Join Our Research Group in Quantum Information Science

Graduate Student Researchers

We invite applications from highly motivated graduate students with a strong background in mathematics or theoretical physics to join our dynamic research group in Quantum Information Science at the Technion. Our group focuses on exploring the mathematical foundations of quantum theory, quantum resource theories, and quantum communication. Students will be expected to conduct independent and collaborative research on cutting-edge problems in quantum information science. They will develop new theoretical models and mathematical frameworks, participate in regular group meetings, seminars, and workshops, and contribute to the writing of research papers and presentations at international conferences. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, along with a strong inclination and interest in theoretical and mathematical physics.

Postdoctoral Researcher in Theoretical Quantum Information:

We are also seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral researcher to join our group for a two to three-year term, depending on qualifications. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work on advanced topics in theoretical quantum information, including quantum resource theories, quantum communication, quantum thermodynamics, and the foundations of quantum mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct high-level research in theoretical quantum information science.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and graduate students.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals.
  • Present research at national and international conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a focus on quantum information or a closely related area.
  • Demonstrated excellence in theoretical research.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Why Join Us? Our research group and the quantum center at the Technion offer a stimulating environment for cutting-edge research in quantum information science, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for collaboration with leading experts in the field. The Technion provides a vibrant academic community, a beautiful campus, and a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.

Application Process: Interested candidates should submit their CV, a statement of research interests, and contact information for at least two references. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
